Introduced to the Oceania Cruises fleet in 2003, Oceania Regatta holds a special place in the line’s history as its first ship. Originally built in 1998, she was christened for Oceania in Barcelona before departing on the company’s inaugural voyage. Today, Regatta welcomes approximately 670 guests, preserving the intimate scale and destination-focused spirit that helped establish the brand.

There is an appealing simplicity to life aboard Regatta. With only 340 suites and staterooms, guests can move easily from breakfast to the open decks, stop at Baristas for coffee, or find a quiet chair in the English-style library without crossing an enormous ship. Her renewed interiors feature soft shades inspired by the sea and sky, contemporary furnishings, and warm residential details that make the public rooms feel elegant without becoming overly formal.

Dining remains one of the ship’s defining pleasures. Toscana celebrates regional Italian cooking, while Polo Grill recreates the atmosphere of a classic steakhouse with premium cuts, seafood, and traditional preparations. The Grand Dining Room offers an ever-changing menu in a more gracious setting, and Terrace Café provides relaxed indoor and alfresco dining. Every restaurant aboard Regatta is complimentary and operates with open seating, allowing each meal to follow the natural pace of the day.

Afternoons can be as quiet or social as guests choose. The pool deck offers a sunny place to unwind, while Aquamar Spa + Vitality Center, enrichment programs, fitness activities, deck games, and afternoon tea add gentle variety to time at sea. Horizons becomes a favorite gathering place for panoramic views, especially as the coastline appears or the sun begins to set.

Evenings unfold across several intimate venues rather than one large entertainment district. Guests may enjoy cocktails and piano music at Martinis, meet for a pre-dinner drink at the Grand Bar, or watch a headline performance in the Lounge. Horizons shifts from daytime observation space to an inviting setting for wine, conversation, music, and dancing after dark.

Accommodations range from Inside and Oceanview Staterooms to Veranda and Concierge Level categories, Penthouse Suites, Vista Suites, and Owner’s Suites. Premium suites add 24-hour butler service and elevated privileges, while private-veranda accommodations provide a personal outdoor space for watching port arrivals and scenic departures.

Regatta’s intimate proportions are particularly rewarding on voyages through the Mediterranean and Africa. Historic harbors, island communities, coastal capitals, and dramatic landscapes remain closely connected to the onboard experience, while longer stretches at sea allow guests to settle into the ship’s relaxed rhythm. Current voyages include Mediterranean routes between ports such as Lisbon, Athens, Dubrovnik, and Istanbul, as well as journeys connected with Cape Town and the African coast.
