Norwegian Escape

Norwegian Escape was the first ship in Norwegian Cruise Line’s Breakaway Plus Class, expanding on the line’s resort-style formula with more space, more dining, and more ways to spend a day at sea. Built in 2015 and refurbished in 2022, the ship carries 4,218 guests at double occupancy and blends high-energy attractions with open-air dining, nightlife, and quieter adult spaces.

Adventure is a big part of the ship’s personality. The Ropes Course includes suspended obstacles high above the deck, while the famous Plank extends over the side of the ship for a walk with nothing but ocean below. The Aqua Park adds even more excitement with Free Fall waterslides, and the Sky Rail zip tracks give guests another way to take in the views from above.

Entertainment is equally varied. The Choir of Man brings live music, dancing, and a pub-style atmosphere to the theater, while comedy, game shows, lounges, and live performances keep the evenings moving well beyond the main stage. 678 Ocean Place adds another focal point, connecting three decks of dining, bars, and social spaces in the center of the ship.

Meals can be casual one night and more refined the next. Food Republic offers globally inspired small plates, Cagney’s delivers classic steakhouse favorites, and The Cellars Wine Bar creates a more relaxed setting for pairings and conversation. The Waterfront extends several venues outdoors, giving dinner and drinks a more open-air feel with the sea just a few steps away.

Accommodations range from Inside, Oceanview, and Balcony staterooms to Solo options, suites, and The Haven by Norwegian. Adults looking for a quieter retreat can also spend time at Vibe Beach Club, while Mandara Spa offers another escape from the more energetic areas of the ship.
