Norwegian Aura

Designed as the largest ship ever built for Norwegian Cruise Line, Norwegian Aura represents the next evolution of the Prima Plus Class with more outdoor space, expanded family attractions, and a greater emphasis on open-air experiences. Scheduled to debut in 2027, the approximately 170,000-gross-ton ship will stretch nearly 1,130 feet and accommodate about 3,879 guests at double occupancy, giving it a larger footprint than Norwegian Aqua and Norwegian Luna.

At the heart of the ship is Ocean Heights, a three-story outdoor activity complex created for both daytime adventure and evening entertainment. The space brings together waterslides, a ropes course, rock climbing, mini golf, a funfair, cabanas, and social areas in one expansive setting. Elsewhere, guests will find an expanded pool deck, a larger Vibe Beach Club, a dedicated Kids’ Aqua Park, and Ocean Boulevard, where open-air spaces are designed to keep the sea closely connected to the onboard experience.

That connection continues through areas such as Infinity Beach and Oceanwalk, giving guests more opportunities to enjoy panoramic views while moving between recreation, dining, and quieter spaces to relax. These outdoor areas help define Norwegian Aura’s design, balancing high-energy attractions with places that feel more open, scenic, and easygoing.

Dining and entertainment will play a major role throughout the ship, with Norwegian’s flexible approach allowing guests to move between casual venues, specialty restaurants, bars, lounges, live entertainment, and late-night experiences without a rigid daily routine. The overall atmosphere is designed to feel social and energetic while still offering plenty of space for couples, families, and multigenerational groups to enjoy the ship in different ways.

Accommodations will range from traditional stateroom categories to an expanded The Haven by Norwegian. Norwegian Aura will feature the largest Haven in the fleet, with additional suites and more private spaces for guests seeking a more elevated experience. The enclave will include premium accommodations, exclusive dining and lounge areas, a private pool, sundecks, butler service, and concierge amenities.

Norwegian Aura will begin with sailings in Europe and the Mediterranean before repositioning across the Atlantic to Miami. From there, the ship will focus heavily on Caribbean and Central America itineraries, including calls in the Dominican Republic, U.S. Virgin Islands, British Virgin Islands, Belize, Honduras, Mexico, and Great Stirrup Cay in the Bahamas.

With its larger scale, expanded outdoor spaces, new attractions, flexible dining, and enhanced Haven experience, Norwegian Aura is designed to offer a more ambitious version of Norwegian Cruise Line’s resort-style cruising while still giving guests a wide range of ways to relax, explore, and enjoy life at sea.
