Celebrity Xcel is designed to feel different depending on the hour. Mornings can begin with breakfast overlooking the sea, afternoons may shift toward music and activity around the pool, and evenings spread across destination-inspired dining, intimate bars, theatrical spaces, and late-night entertainment. As the fifth ship in Celebrity Cruises’ Edge Series, it retains recognizable features such as the Magic Carpet, Grand Plaza, Rooftop Garden, and The Retreat, but adds seven new spaces that give the vessel a personality distinct from its sister ships. That evolving atmosphere is especially suited to voyages through the Central America and South America. Tropical sailings place greater emphasis on the redesigned Celebrity Pool Club, where live music, daytime games, frozen treats, and evening parties turn the pool deck into an all-day social venue. During Mediterranean itineraries, The Bazaar brings the culture, traditions, food, and entertainment of the destinations onboard, allowing the experience of each region to continue after guests have returned from shore.
The Bazaar is one of Celebrity Xcel’s defining additions. Rather than functioning as a conventional multipurpose lounge, it changes its programming and atmosphere according to the itinerary. Regional festivals, local flavors, performances, crafts, and destination-themed events help connect the ship with the places it visits. This gives Celebrity Xcel a stronger sense of location than ships whose entertainment remains largely unchanged from one sailing region to another. Outdoor life centers on the Celebrity Pool Club, Rooftop Garden, Sunset Bar, and Magic Carpet. The Pool Club is more energetic than a standard resort deck, with guided activities, pop-up entertainment, music, and a dedicated Pool Valet offering conveniences such as chilled towels and sunscreen. After sunset, the space can transition into Shine the Night, an open-air party with a DJ and dancing. The Magic Carpet continues to move between decks, functioning at different times as a lounge, dining extension, and comfortable departure point for tendering ashore.
Dining combines familiar Edge Series venues with new experiences created specifically for Celebrity Xcel. Bora introduces an open-air Mediterranean-style brunch and dinner concept, while the ship’s four complimentary main restaurants provide different culinary themes and surroundings. Guests can also choose from Fine Cut Steakhouse, Raw on 5, Rooftop Garden Grill, Le Grand Bistro, Eden Restaurant, Blu for AquaClass travelers, and Luminae for guests staying in The Retreat. Together, these venues allow dinner to feel different each night without requiring every meal to be formal or highly structured. Entertainment continues beyond the main theater. Attic at The Club introduces a game-focused social space with retro-style entertainment and activities that can continue late into the evening. The Club hosts performances, dancing, interactive events, and nightlife, while Eden combines panoramic views, dining, cocktails, and live entertainment within a dramatic multilevel setting. The Grand Plaza remains the ship’s central social hub, surrounded by restaurants and bars and anchored by the sculptural Martini Bar.
Celebrity Xcel also expands the wellness experience found aboard earlier Edge Series ships. Celebrity describes its spa as the largest in the fleet, with more than 120 treatments, therapies, and restorative experiences. New features include the Hydra Room and Vitamin D Deck, an outdoor spa area where guests can relax in the fresh air with broad ocean views. The SEA Thermal Suite, fitness center, adults-only Solarium, running track, pools, and whirlpools provide additional options for guests who want a quieter or more active day onboard. Accommodations range from interior and ocean-view rooms to traditional verandas, Infinite Verandas, Concierge Class, AquaClass, and an extensive collection of suites. Infinite Veranda rooms use a window that lowers electronically, allowing the exterior area to become part of the room when closed. AquaClass includes exclusive access to Blu and the SEA Thermal Suite, while Concierge Class adds personalized assistance and selected priority services. Rooms include king-size Cashmere mattresses, eXhale bedding, twice-daily service, smart televisions, robes, and contemporary bathrooms.
The Retreat creates a more private experience within the larger ship. Suite guests receive access to The Retreat Lounge, private sundeck, and Luminae restaurant, along with dedicated butler service. Accommodation choices include Sky Suites, Celebrity Suites, Royal Suites, Penthouse Suites, two-story Edge Villas, and Iconic Suites positioned above the bridge. The largest suites measure up to approximately 2,581 square feet, providing separate living areas and expansive outdoor space. Celebrity Xcel entered service in November 2025 and carries approximately 3,260 guests at double occupancy. Royal Caribbean Group lists the ship at approximately 141,262 gross tons, placing it among the largest vessels in the Celebrity fleet while remaining significantly smaller than many mainstream mega-ships. Its expanded size provides room for more restaurants, entertainment settings, and outdoor venues without moving away from the premium, design-focused identity of the Edge Series.
