Celebrity Flora was created for one destination alone: the Galápagos Islands. Rather than adapting a conventional cruise ship for expedition travel, Celebrity Cruises designed this intimate, all-suite vessel around the region’s protected landscapes, wildlife encounters, and strict environmental requirements. Introduced in 2019, the ship carries only 100 guests and measures 5,739 gross tons, creating a personalized expedition experience with the comfort and polished service of a premium resort. Celebrity Flora has also received a Four-Star Rating from Forbes Travel Guide, a first for a ship operating in the Galápagos Islands, located roughly 600 miles off the coast of South America.
Daily exploration is the center of every voyage. Guests travel ashore with experienced naturalists to walk volcanic terrain, observe native species, snorkel, and explore remote coastlines. Custom-built Novurania yacht tenders feature interior seating, equipment storage, hydraulic ramps, and a flush stairway system that makes transfers, wet landings, and entry into the water more convenient. Once guests return onboard, the Discovery Lounge becomes a gathering place for naturalist presentations, destination briefings, conversations, and evening programs.
Every accommodation aboard Celebrity Flora is a suite, with layouts designed to keep the islands visible throughout the day. Available categories include Sky Suites with traditional verandas or Infinite Verandas, Royal Suites, and expansive Penthouse Suites. The Infinite Veranda design allows the window to lower electronically, opening the room toward the surrounding landscape, while outward-facing beds and floor-to-ceiling glass preserve the view from inside. Sky Suites begin at approximately 325 to 330 square feet, while the largest Penthouse accommodations offer as much as 1,288 square feet of total space.
Suite amenities are tailored to both comfort and exploration. Guests receive refillable water bottles, backpacks, rain ponchos, marine binoculars, locally produced bath products, and personal suite-attendant service. Additional conveniences include customizable minibars, in-suite filtered-water stations, room service, evening turndown, and full in-suite dinner service. These thoughtful inclusions allow travelers to arrive prepared for each day’s activities without sacrificing the conveniences expected from a luxury cruise experience. Dining aboard Celebrity Flora reflects the flavors and ingredients of Ecuador and the Galápagos. Seaside Restaurant serves breakfast, lunch, and dinner beside floor-to-ceiling windows, combining familiar Celebrity dishes with Ecuadorian-inspired selections that change throughout the voyage. Ocean Grill provides open-air dining and locally influenced seafood, along with the opportunity to reserve Dinner Under the Stars. Celebrity emphasizes regional sourcing whenever possible, incorporating ingredients grown, raised, or caught within Ecuador and the islands.
Public spaces have been arranged to support observation, learning, and quiet appreciation of the destination. The Observatory serves as a Galápagos-focused library surrounded by panoramic glass, while the outdoor stargazing platform gives guests a clear view of the night sky near the equator. An optional glamping experience includes an outdoor dinner, guided stargazing with a naturalist, overnight accommodations in a convertible cabana, and breakfast at sunrise. Original artwork inspired by the islands’ flora and fauna, along with furnishings created using locally influenced and sustainable design elements, reinforces the ship’s connection to the region. Environmental technology plays an equally important role in the ship’s design. A dynamic positioning system allows Celebrity Flora to remain in place without dropping anchor, helping protect sensitive seabeds. Solar panels supplement the ship’s electrical supply, while reverse-osmosis equipment produces all of the fresh water required onboard. Celebrity Flora also carries oceanographic equipment used to gather data on sea temperatures, circulation, and conditions related to El Niño and La Niña, allowing the ship to contribute to scientific research as it sails.
With only 100 guests, an all-suite layout, specialized expedition equipment, and spaces shaped around wildlife viewing and education, Celebrity Flora offers an experience that differs significantly from a traditional Celebrity cruise. It is best suited to travelers who want to explore Galápagos Islands in depth while returning each day to spacious accommodations, regional cuisine, attentive service, and an environment designed specifically for these remarkable islands.
