Celebrity Compass brings Celebrity Cruises’ contemporary style to Europe’s rivers, introducing a new kind of ship designed around uninterrupted views, flexible spaces, and closer access to each destination. Scheduled to begin sailing in August 2027, this purpose-built river vessel will accommodate just 172 guests across 86 outward-facing staterooms and suites, creating a more intimate atmosphere than Celebrity’s ocean ships while preserving the polished design and personalized service associated with the brand.

Expansive windows and open-air venues keep the passing scenery central to the onboard experience. Among the ship’s most distinctive accommodations are the first-of-their-kind Skylight Infinite Balcony Suites, which use a ceiling-mounted window system to transform the room into an open-air retreat without reducing interior living space. Every accommodation includes a king-size bed that can be converted into twins, modern entertainment technology, filtered water, a complimentary minibar stocked upon arrival, and daily housekeeping with evening turndown service. Suite guests also receive dedicated butler service.

Celebrity Compass will feature eight restaurants and bars, giving travelers a broader variety of dining and social spaces than is typically found aboard a river ship. Menus will blend familiar Celebrity favorites with dishes influenced by the regions visited, while venues such as Café al Bacio and the Sunset Bar bring recognizable elements of the ocean fleet to the rivers. Cantilevered Magic Edge dining pods extend over the water for an especially close perspective of the surrounding landscape, while the upper deck offers an infinity-edge pool, shaded seating, and open areas for viewing castles, vineyards, and historic waterfronts.

The ship’s inaugural voyages will explore the Rhine and Danube, combining centrally located docking points with included shore experiences, extended stays, and itineraries that may visit more than one destination in a single day. With fewer guests, spacious accommodations, and an outward-facing design, Celebrity Compass is positioned for travelers who want the convenience and cultural immersion of river cruising without giving up the modern surroundings and elevated hospitality found aboard a premium cruise ship
