Azamara Quest offers a more personal style of cruising, combining the comforts of a boutique hotel with itineraries built around meaningful time ashore. Carrying approximately 700 guests, the ship is small enough to enter less accessible harbors and dock closer to many historic city centers. Its intimate proportions also shape the onboard experience, making restaurants, lounges, and outdoor decks feel relaxed and familiar rather than crowded or overwhelming. The ship’s destination-focused itineraries frequently feature Extended Destination Days of ten hours or more, late-night departures, and overnight port stays. This additional time allows travelers to explore beyond the usual daytime schedule, whether that means dining at a local restaurant, attending an evening performance, visiting popular landmarks after the crowds have diminished, or spending consecutive days in the same destination. Azamara Quest also operates longer combination cruises, Grand Voyages, and world itineraries for guests interested in exploring several regions during one continuous journey.
Life onboard reflects the ship’s calm and sophisticated character. The Living Room is a panoramic lounge used for daytime relaxation, enrichment activities, cocktails, and evening music. Discoveries Bar provides a convenient meeting place before dinner, while the Sunset Veranda offers open-air seating overlooking the ship’s wake. Guests seeking a quieter setting can visit the Drawing Room, and the Cabaret Lounge hosts live music, guest entertainers, destination presentations, and intimate production shows. Dining includes a combination of complimentary and specialty venues. Discoveries Restaurant serves as the primary dining room, with open seating and menus that change throughout the voyage. Windows Café provides buffet-style breakfast, lunch, and dinner with indoor and outdoor seating, while The Patio offers casual poolside dishes and may transition into an evening grill venue. Mosaic Café serves specialty coffees, teas, pastries, and light refreshments during the day.
Prime C and Aqualina provide the ship’s principal specialty-dining experiences. Prime C specializes in steaks, seafood, and classic accompaniments in a club-like environment, while Aqualina presents Italian and Mediterranean-inspired cuisine. Specialty dining is generally complimentary for suite guests and available for an additional charge to travelers staying in most other accommodation categories. Azamara’s cruise fare includes many items that would normally be charged separately by other cruise lines. Selected wines, beers, spirits, bottled water, soft drinks, specialty coffees, teas, gratuities, self-service laundry, and room service are generally included. Most voyages also feature an AzAmazing Evenings cultural experience, designed to connect guests with the music, history, traditions, or performing arts of the destination. Complimentary shuttle transportation may be provided in select ports when the ship is not docked within convenient walking distance of the main town.
Accommodations range from interior and ocean-view staterooms to veranda rooms, Veranda Plus categories, and several suite options. Continent Suites add more interior space and upgraded amenities, while Spa Suites provide a contemporary design near the ship’s wellness facilities. Ocean Suites and World Owner’s Suites offer separate bedrooms and living areas, spacious verandas, and enhanced service. The largest World Owner’s Suites include approximately 560 square feet of interior space and a veranda measuring approximately 233 square feet. Suite privileges can include dedicated butler and concierge service, specialty dining, in-suite meals, upgraded beverages, internet access, and laundry benefits. Azamara Quest is also scheduled to become the first ship to receive the cruise line’s extensive Azamara Forward transformation. The ship will enter dry dock in Athens on October 31, 2026, with cruises scheduled to resume on November 26, 2026. The renovated experience will officially debut on the December 18, 2026 sailing from Miami, ahead of the ship’s 2027 World Cruise.
The renovation will refresh accommodations, spa facilities, public spaces, dining venues, and lounges throughout the ship. Discoveries Restaurant will be redesigned, Atlas Bar will introduce destination-inspired cocktails and complimentary beverage selections, and the Cabaret Lounge will receive a full transformation. A dedicated Chef’s Table restaurant will also provide an interactive dining experience with menus influenced by the regions visited. Exclusive to Azamara Quest, an entirely new Penthouse Deck will be constructed above Deck 10. The addition will introduce 12 new accommodations across two categories: Grandview Suites and Panorama Suites. Panorama Suites will offer approximately 656 square feet of interior space, a private veranda, and sweeping 270-degree views. The ship’s Sun Deck will remain available above the newly constructed suite level. These accommodations are scheduled to become available beginning with the December 18, 2026 sailing.
Until the transformation is completed, Azamara Quest continues to provide the traditional small-ship experience for which Azamara is known. Its combination of longer port stays, globally varied itineraries, included beverages, intimate restaurants, and attentive service makes it particularly appealing to travelers who place cultural exploration ahead of large-scale onboard attractions.
